About Ngorongoro
Expedition Area Ngorongoro is named after a large volcanic crater in Tanzania, a country in Africa. This volcano is no longer active and therefore animals can live here without any problems. This area is home to large African species such as lions, among others. Also come to visit the longest land animals in the world, the net giraffes. The giraffes live in an oasis of green along with the brazza cats. In Ngorongoro you will also discover cheetahs, wild dogs, camels, pygmy hippos, ostriches, mhorrgazelles and many more special animal species.
When you arrive at expedition area Ngorongoro, you are about halfway through your expedition, ideal for a stopover. At the 'BaseCamp', you can pick up food and drinks and enjoy them on the terrace with a view of the giraffes. You can also visit the toilet here and children can play for a while.

If you look at the ZooParc map, you will see that expedition area Ngorongoro occupies a large part of the park, as this area is home to many different animal species. You will encounter the beginning of this area about halfway through your expedition, an ideal place to take a break. You will arrive in Ngorongoro after passing by Headquarter, Boulders Beach, Outback and Jangelee have been.
