Hospitality

At ZooParc's catering outlets, Puro Fairtrade coffee and Lipton Rainforest Alliance tea are served. So in our park you can enjoy delicious hot drinks responsibly and sustainably. Besides sustainable coffee and tea, other sustainable products are also available at our catering outlets. For example, we serve organic tomato soup, croquettes and frikandells. Many more of our products carry a Fairtrade label or Beter Leven Keurmerk.

Durable cups and plates

All drinks and all food are served in sustainable cups and on sustainable plates. For example, our cups are made from sustainable FSC wood and the plates are made from palm leaves. In the future, we will use more and more sustainable products in our catering business.

Sustainable cleaning

Only environmentally friendly cleaning products of the EU Ecolabel label are used at ZooParc.

Sustainable feed for animals

Hay and kibble

The animals at ZooParc are fed only sustainable hay and pellets. No pesticides are used in the production of the hay and minimal fertilization is done. In addition, the hay and pellets are transported to Overloon by trucks with minimal CO2 emissions.

Sustainable fish

The feed (fish) for the penguins, for example, carries the MSC label, which stands for sustainably caught fish from Marine Stewardship Council.

Separating waste

At ZooParc, wood, iron, debris and paper waste is separated. We like it when you help with waste separation as well. Will you help?
