Park regulations ZooParc Overloon

Article 1. Applicability

  1. As soon as one enters ZooParc Overloon, one accepts the applicability of these regulations and is obliged to strictly follow all regulations and directions given by ZooParc Overloon employees.

  2. For all cases and/or situations in which these regulations do not provide, ZooParc Overloon reserves the right to set additional rules verbally and/or in writing to which visitors are bound.

  3. By 'ZooParc Overloon' and 'the park' in these regulations are also understood the catering facilities, the parking lots and the bicycle shed.

  4. The regulations have been established to ensure order and safety within ZooParc Overloon.

Article 2. Entry and stay

  1. Only with a valid entrance ticket will you have access to the park, through the designated entrance gates. This entrance ticket must also be shown in the park upon request.

  2. Entry tickets are only valid during the date indicated on the entry ticket and during the opening hours indicated at the ticket office. ZooParc Overloon is authorized to change the opening hours.

  3. Children under the age of 10 may enter the park only under the continuous supervision and guidance of an adult (at least 18 years old).

  4. ZooParc Overloon is authorized to close (a) section(s) of the park, without being held to any compensation to its visitors.

  5. You are not allowed to bring (domestic) animals into the park. A service dog is also not allowed. This is because of the safety of your pet and the animals in the park. Because you will pass through enclosures on the route through the park where you walk between the animals without a fence, we unfortunately cannot make an exception for guide dogs and other assistance dogs.

  6. It is not permitted to enter the park beyond the ticket booths with a bicycle, scooter, balance bike, tricycle, roller skates, rollerblades and/or, in ZooParc Overloon's judgment, similar attributes.

  7. Cars should be parked in the parking lot in the designated spaces, bicycles and mopeds should be placed in the bicycle parking area. There is paid parking, parking tokens are available at the ticket booths.

  8. Climbing on or over walls and fences is not permitted.

  9. Garbage should be deposited in the designated trash bins.

  10. In the catering facilities, consumption is mandatory. It is not allowed to consume self-brought refreshments in the catering facilities.

  11. It is not permitted to enter the park with sound equipment.

  12. Visitors should hand over found objects in the park to ZooParc Overloon staff.

  13. Advertising, conducting public surveys, counts, collections and offering goods and services on the grounds of ZooParc Overloon is not permitted unless written permission is obtained from the General Manager.

  14. The propagation of (religious) beliefs or the holding of demonstrations on the grounds of ZooParc Overloon is not permitted, unless written permission is obtained from the General Manager.

  15. ZooParc Overloon is a smoke-free park. Smoking - including smoking e-cigarettes and vapes - is therefore not allowed in the park. Smoking is only allowed in the designated areas.

Article 3. Image and sound recordings

  1. For personal use and as long as other people are not obstructed, it is permitted to make image and/or sound recordings at ZooParc Overloon.

  2. ZooParc Overloon may make image and/or sound recordings (or have them made) of its park and of the people who are in or around the park. ZooParc Overloon and its affiliated companies are authorized to use and publish these recordings, for example for promotional purposes. Naturally, ZooParc Overloon and its affiliated companies will observe the necessary care in doing so. ZooParc Overloon and its affiliated companies do not owe a compensation to the persons portrayed in the recordings for their use and publication.

  3. It is not allowed to make sound, photo and/or film recordings or other visual material for commercial purposes, unless written permission has been obtained from the General Manager of ZooParc Overloon.

Article 4. Animals

  1. The feeding of animals is strictly prohibited. Only in the designated areas may the animals present there be fed with food from the feeders provided on site.

Article 5. Safety and liability

  1. ZooParc Overloon has the right to deny access to visitors of whom it believes or fears that they disrupt the order, peace and/or safety within the park, without ZooParc Overloon being held liable for any compensation. Offenses (or suspected offenses) will be reported to the police.

  2. ZooParc Overloon uses video cameras for your and our safety.

  3. Visiting ZooParc Overloon is done entirely at your own risk.

  4. Within the park, you can go near and even among the animals in designated areas. Please be advised that the animals may exhibit unpredictable behavior that may cause you injury or damage to your property. By entering the park you accept this risk.

  5. ZooParc Overloon does not accept any liability for personal injury and/or theft, loss, missing or damage to property of its visitors that occurs during and/or as a result of a visit to the park, except insofar as it occurs as a result of intention or conscious recklessness on the part of (the management of) ZooParc Overloon.

  6. ZooParc Overloon is not liable for consequential damage, including trading loss and loss of income.

  7. Insofar as ZooParc Overloon is not entitled to appeal to the limitations of liability mentioned, its maximum liability will be up to the amount that is paid out under the liability insurance policy in the case in question, supplemented by the amount of the deductible.
