About Madidi

Expedition Area Madidi is named after Madidi National Park, one of the last untouched patches of tropical rainforest in the so-called Amazon Basin. Many different species of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and insects are found here. In ZooParc, this expedition area is therefore extra large. Madidi is as large as 1 hectare. Go on an expedition in Madidi and discover the most special animals and plants from South America. Have you ever seen a sloth climbing above your head, heard of a tamandua or coal-burner turtle? You will also find unusual animals like forest dogs and anteaters in Madidi. Go in search of more than 20 different animal species and warm up on cold days in our South America greenhouse.

Where can you find the expedition area?

Expedition area Madidi can be found at the very end of your expedition. Here you will find many different species of animals, many of which also live inside a warm greenhouse, nice to warm up when it's a bit chilly outside. As you walk from one part of Madidi to the other, you will pass the Headquarter. This is also where you can go after you have visited all of Madidi. You can end the day there with a delicious snack or drink.
