Turn in your old cell phone and help the gorillas
Unfortunately, gorilla habitat in African rainforests is shrinking. This is due to the construction of coltan mines, where the raw material coltan is obtained. Coltan is used in the production of cell phones. We are happy to recycle the coltan from your phone, so you help the gorillas and support Stichting Wildlife.

So you help in two ways:
You help animals in 2 ways when you turn in your old phone at the ZooParc reception. First, Stichting Wildlife receives an amount of money for every cell phone turned in, supporting up to 30 conservation projects worldwide.
Second, each cell phone is recycled. This helps gorillas in the wild. Cell phones are made with raw materials such as gold and coltan. To obtain these, Africa's rainforests are cut down to build roads and mines. As a result, many animals lose part of their habitat and are more likely to become victims of poaching.
By recycling cell phones we ensure that no new mines need to be built, the coltan and gold can be reused. So please look in your drawer, under your bed, or in the attic and turn in your old phones. Thanks in advance for your help!
