Record number of visitors for ZooParc Overloon!
ZooParc Overloon achieved a record number of visitors during the week of July 23-30. As many as 8,084 guests visited the zoo in this last week of July. This high number is due in part to the park's recent expansion with a unique combination enclosure for net giraffes and Brazzamer cats.
Branch manager Leentje Lips: "We are extremely proud of this record. ZooParc Overloon was taken over by Libéma two years ago and partly due to the investments in new animal enclosures and guest orientation, we are seeing huge increases in visitor numbers."
In addition to the arrival of three giraffes and four Brazzameer cats, an African monkey species recognizable by a chestnut-colored stripe on its head and long white beards, the park has also welcomed tigers and lions since its acquisition. In addition, last year's renewed membership in the Dutch Association of Zoos (NVD) allows for collaborations in breeding programs, housing and sharing of experience. The developments mentioned above all contribute to the quality of the park and result in a growing flow of visitors to ZooParc.
