New inclusive playground at Madidi expedition area at ZooParc

ZooParc Overloon has installed a new playground in which children with physical disabilities can also play from wheelchairs. The playground can be found in the expedition area Madidi.

General Manager of ZooParc Overloon Roel Huibers: "Every day at ZooParc we do our best to offer young and old an unforgettable day with all the beautiful animals with special stories. For children, however, a day at the zoo is not complete without a playground. That is why we involve all children in the design of the new playground. Not only young and older children, but also children who are bound to a wheelchair due to a physical disability. In this way, we hope to make a day at ZooParc unforgettable for everyone!"

The children can enter the playground by wheelchair through a special path. On this path, the children can play with an abacus and feeling wall. There are also laughing mirrors.

In addition, the playground has two slides, climbing nets, ducking frames and a double cableway. The playground is expected to be further expanded in early 2024.
