They're back: twenty dinosaurs take up residence in ZooParc Overloon again this fall

ZooParc Overloon is once again bracing itself for the arrival of twenty enormous, lifelike dinosaurs. The prehistoric animals will also take up residence in ZooParc this fall. They will be on display at the park in Overloon between October 1 and November 7.

One of those dinosaurs is the Irritator. This species occurred in South America and will have a place in ZooParc in the new expedition section Madidi. Because paleontologists spent a lot of time restoring the skull of this dino, it was given the name Irritator, which means "the annoying one.

Huge creations"Dinosaurs are fantastic and I can't wait to see all the creations back in our park," says general manager Roel Huibers. "It's especially nice that this year we can also showcase a dino from South America in our park. The Irritator fits right in with our new theme area Madidi, which we are very proud of."

In addition to the South American Irritator, other dinosaurs taking over the park include a nine-meter-long Triceratops, a six-meter-long Stegosaurus and a five-meter-long Tyrannosaurus Rex. These lifelike dinosaurs, some of which move and make sounds, are normally on display at World of Dinos, Europe's largest dino expo. All the creations, which will be scattered around the park, will have signs with information about their habits, eating habits and way of life.

Dinos in Vacation Park Dierenbos
Visitors who can't get enough of all the dinosaurs this fall can also visit Vacation Park Dierenbos. Between Sept. 11 and Nov. 8, guests there can sleep among the roaring and moving dinosaurs.
