About Madidi

Are you ready to go on an expedition to South America? In the Madidi area you can experience a piece of South America in Overloon. In this area of no less than 1 hectare you will discover the most special animals and plants from South America. Have you ever seen a sloth climbing above your head, heard of a tamandua or coal-burner turtle? You will also find unusual animals like forest dogs and anteaters in Madidi. Go in search of all 20 different animal species and warm up on cold days in our South America greenhouse.

Where do you find the expedition area?

If you hike past the other expedition areas first you will encounter Madidi at the end and can combine it nicely with a visit to Headquarter and/or the playground. Along the way you will walk past several areas including the Amazon and Ngorongoro.
