Just a little different

Dwarf hippos, unlike their larger cousins, live on land during the day and migrate to the water at night. Dwarf hippos live alone or with a young while common hippos live in groups.

Sunburn

Dwarf hippos have thin and sensitive skin. To keep the skin supple and protected from the sun, special glands release an oily, slimy liquid with sunscreen factor 15.
