Well adapted

The dromedary is well adapted to life in the desert. They have wide feet, so they don't sink into the sand. They have long eyelashes, so sand doesn't get in their eyes. They hardly sweat, so they don't lose moisture. And that hump on the back?........ that contains spare food.

Pet

The hump on the dromedary's back contains fat. Sometimes as much as 35 kilograms! From this fat the dromedary can get energy when there is no food to be found. In addition, that fat keeps the dromedary from getting too hot. In fact, fat blocks the heat of the sun very well.
