meters, is the average height of a spectacled caiman
The female spectacled caiman covers her eggs with a pile of leaves. She guards her nest well against predators. The temperature of the nest determines whether more males or more females hatch. At an average temperature of 30 degrees, the young become mostly females. If the temperature in the nest is 34 degrees, they become mostly males.
Spectacled caimans are true carnivores. That means they eat only meat. They are not picky. A caiman eats more than a hundred different types of prey! When they have caught something, they eat it with skin, bones and all.
