Blonde black howler monkey?

Not all black howler monkeys are black. Only adult males are black. Females have blond fur. All young howler monkeys are also blond. That way they are not noticeable when they are on their mother's belly. When a male is about two years old, his fur slowly turns black.

Howler monkeys live almost all their lives in the trees. Therefore, they are very good climbers. Black howler monkeys can use their tails as a kind of fifth hand. The tail is bare and rough at the bottom. This allows them to grab hold of their tail very well.
