Cool

In Australia, it can get very hot. Even the Bennett wallaby sometimes finds it too hot. He cools himself by licking his hands and arms. Then when the wind blows along his wet fur, it is cooling.

To Europe

Thanks in part to its dense coat, the Bennet Wallaby can also live well in European climates. For example, small colonies live in Scotland, France and Germany, among other places. These are mostly the descendants of animals that came from zoos.
