African wild dogs and meerkats on display again at ZooParc
The African wild dogs and meerkats have received a new enclosure. Since October, they have been open to visitors.
The enclosures are located in an expansion area of the park, behind the area of the lions. The animals have been given larger enclosures better adapted to their specific needs. Together, the areas comprise about four thousand square meters. The behavior of the animals is closely monitored and the animals are doing well in their new quarters.
The relocation of the wild dogs freed up a space in the park. Since July, four female mhorrgazelles, one of the most endangered species in the world, have been living here. Another male will follow in the fall. They can be seen here together with the ostriches.
Wildlife education Center
There is also a new Wildlife Education Center. Here it is possible for groups and school classes to receive additional information about the projects ZooParc Overloon supports through Stichting Wildlife.
