Eating insects and recognizing poop: during Expedition Week, children learn how to survive in the wilderness!

During Expedition Week at ZooParc Overloon, from Saturday, April 28 through Sunday, May 6, children will learn how to survive in the wilderness through exciting activities. With their own expedition passport, they can go on a journey of discovery in the park.

Eating insects and recognizing poop
There are all sorts of exciting activities to experience during Expedition Week. For example, children and adults are challenged to taste a grasshopper or mealworm, because in more than 100 countries around the world insects are simply on the menu. In addition, we teach visitors to recognize tracks and poop of wild animals, so they know what animals are around in nature. Between the activities and animal enclosures are all kinds of adventure trails and there is even a high climbing tower for the toughest kids!

Stichting Wildlife
Volunteers from Stichting Wildlife guide the activities during Expedition Week in the park. You will also meet them at the Cheetah shelter, where they will tell you all about the park's special animals and explain about conservation.
